Travis Fair, Stephens Auto Center’s executive sales manager, stands with a pre-owned 2018 Jaguar SUV in the showroom on Corridor G near Danville. Stephens Auto Center, a dealer for Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram, also has an extensive selection of used vehicles from which to choose.

The excitement of the New Year continues to build at Stephens Auto Center near Danville.

A dealership for Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram products, Stephens Auto Center is welcoming 2019 with new vehicles from Ford and Jeep.

A short drive from Charleston and the Kanawha Valley on Corridor G, Stephens Auto Center near Danville is happy to announce that the all-new Ford Ranger mid-size pickup truck is once again available in the United States.

“They (Ford) went away from it for six or seven years, but now it’s back,” said Stephens Auto Center Executive Sales Manager Travis Fair.

Fair said the new Ford Ranger would be available in a number of configurations.

“The new Ford Ranger that’s coming out is revamped; it will be a Super Cab and a Crew Cab, but no regular cab,” Fair said. “It’s a downsized (Ford) F-150 – it’s a mid-size pickup truck.”

The 2019 Ford Ranger will be available at Stephens Auto Center within a month or two, Fair said.

“We’re taking orders now, so if anyone is interested in a Ford Ranger, they can come in and order a Ranger of their choice.”

Fair said the Ford Ranger truck would likely be priced from the mid-$30,000 to mid-$40,000 range.

“Depending on the trim level that you pick,” he said.

Fair said the Ford Ranger’s size is comparable to the Chevrolet Colorado, Nissan Frontier and Toyota Tacoma trucks.

When the Ford Ranger became unavailable in the United States, fans of the mid-size truck missed it immediately and became campaigning for its return.

During its absence from North America, however, the Ranger was still available overseas.

“When it was gone, there was a high demand for it to come back, so they decided to bring it back to North America,” Fair said.

The Ford Ranger truck isn’t the only new Ford product coming to Stephens Auto Center. For the 2020 model year, the Ford Bronco, a familiar name from years past, will also be available.

The Ford Bronco is a sport utility vehicle that Ford is resurrecting for sale once again. Fair said the Bronco will likely be a mid- to full-size SUV.

On the Jeep front, fans of the Jeep Wrangler will be happy to know that the Jeep Wrangler is now available in a truck model called the Gladiator.

“It’s a four-door Wrangler with a pickup bed,” Fair said. “It’s available this year, but it will be a 2020 model.”

Fair said this is the first time that Jeep has produced a dedicated Wrangler truck model.

“They had a kit that you could add before that you could add a pickup bed to the Wrangler, but this (the Gladiator) will be coming from the factory. Everybody’s been waiting for it to come out. It’s been a very sought-after vehicle.”

As an offshoot of the popular Jeep Wrangler, the Gladiator starts life with an excellent pedigree. The Jeep Wrangler was named Motor Trend‘s SUV of the Year.

Additionally, Fair said the Ram 1500 pickup truck, which is also available at Stephens Auto Center, was named Motor Trend‘s Truck of the Year.

“So if someone wants to see Motor Trend‘s Truck of the Year and SUV of the Year, they can just come on down here to Stephens Auto Center,” Fair said.

It’s worth the easy drive down Corridor G to shop at Stephens Auto Center. And being a small-town dealer means customers get the kind of one-on-one attention they deserve from a familiar sales staff.

The highly trained sales staff has been in place for many years, including Fair, who has been with Stephens Auto Center for 19 years.

“We treat people like they’re part of the Stephens family,” he said.

Stephens Auto Center’s service department is staffed by certified mechanics and technicians. The service department operates by appointments, so there’s no waiting as there might be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Stephens Auto Center also maintains an excellent selection of pre-owned vehicles.

“We’re starting to get different used inventory than we’ve had in the past.”

Customers can find pre-owned makes and models from a number of manufacturers, not just from Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep or Ram. Stephens Auto Center has access to thousands of used vehicles, Fair said.

For instance, at press time, a 2018 Jaguar SUV with only 13,000 miles on the odometer was on display in the Stephens Auto Center showroom.

“We have it priced at $40,000.”
